Hello, my name is Iowa Dave. I live and blog near the banks of the Local River in River City, Iowa (names changed to protect the local environment.) Computers showed up in the world about the same time I did, mid-20th Century. It was only natural that we would get together.
I started blogging in late August, 2005, the weekend Hurricane Katrina sank New Orleans. You cannot read those early articles any longer because an angel of mercy swooped down at the end of September, 2009, and took all of my scribbles away to Heaven or somewhere. Starting over is something you learn to take in stride, in a long life.
